Description
FEMAGEN is a product designed for topical application in the treatment of female-pattern baldness which contains minoxidil, tretinoin and spironolactone.
Our products are produced and designed by a licensed compounding pharmacy. Raw materials are pharmaceutical grade. Concentrations of active ingredient are standardized at 5% minoxidil, 0.01% tretinoin and 2% spironolactone, equivalent to 50 mg minoxidil per 1 ml of solution, 0.1 mg tretinoin per 1 ml of solution and 20 mg spironolactone per 1 ml of solution.
This product combines three active ingredients with different mechanism of action to deliver unparalleled efficacy. Minoxidil is FDA approved, widely known growth agonist. Tretinoin enables minoxidil, and makes it more effective via upregulation of SULT2 enzyme (enzyme responsible for converting minoxidil to its active form).
It is widely accepted that androgens, specifically DHT, cause female pattern baldness in unlucky few of those with genetic predisposition. Spironolactone blocks androgen receptors (ARs) locally, therefore stopping this process.
Vehicle (solvent) used to deliver these active ingrediends to the scalp is not standard 70% ethanol, 30% propylene glycol used in most of our products. Since most females have significantly longer hair than most of our male customers we are mindful of potential inconvenience that forementioned vehicle might cause to them. Therefore we opted for highly spreadable hydrophilic solution containing mineral salts of vegetable origin (TrichoSol™). It is free from harsh chemicals like ethanol and propylene glycol.
The brown color pharmaceutical glass absorbs harmful UV wavelengths, protecting product from light damage. Dropper is standardized at 1 ml.
One unit is 50 ml, sufficient for almost 2 months of supply with once daily usage (1 ml per application).

HOW TO USE:
- Use dropper to apply 1 ml of solution to clean and dry scalp. Spread and rub on areas affected by female pattern hair loss.
SOLUTION STABILITY:
- The product has a shelf life of 2 years when stored at room temperature.
